THE
MORRIS
1100
Specs
Melbourne band The Morris 1100 deliver new directions in old, combining sixties beats with a modern twist, low-tide surf guitars, keyboard freakouts, wry lyrics and the occasional flash of French pop art, illuminating dusky Antipodean highways.
Influences..
The Easybeats, The Kinks, Stereolab, The Triffids and a growing disinclination to act like grown-ups. Dedicated to first cars, old loves and new, grainy super-eights, chiffon gloves, starshot eyes, east-west engines, summer highways, Jacqueline Bouvier and old stories that keep improving on the seventh telling.
The perfect soundtrack to any Midlife Crisis.
The Morris 1100 previously appeared as a late ’60s automobile, and were produced by British Leyland.
